Anyone want to go on a vacation? That is a beautiful site is it not?

This made me chuckle.

Somewhat related question–has anyone tried writing using one of those voice-to-text tools (like Dragon Naturally Speaking)? I’ve been very curious to try this out to se how my writing style changes. I would love to know if anyone has tried writing that way.

This is a great read. @Mediascover does a wonderful job stirring up emotions and laying out the vulnerabilities of writers in this piece. If you like it, You’ll enjoy his latest book The Gingerbread Collection.

I mean, this doesn’t need an explanation right? It’s just too damn good. I don’t even care if it might be photo shopped and it’s not a real bookstore. I’m going to assume it is. Well done @ctmitchellbooks. Well done, sire.

Hailing from Minnesota myself, this news was especially sad for me. Prince is a pop icon, but he’s a Minnesota legend. Stories about Prince’s coolness and kindness seem to be around every corner in Minnesota. Every other person has some story or quip about the second greatest musician to ever hail from our state. (Sorry, Prince, I love you dearly. RIP. But Bob Dylan still holds that crown.)

Love Elie Wiesel. Love this.

I met a millionaire once that owned a janitorial company. You read that right. A millionaire janitor. He made his millions cleaning offices and schools. Do the things that other people don’t want to and do it a long time.

I loved this. It’s weird and deep all at once. Cry people. There’s no shame in crying. It saves you from so much suffering. The wonderfully inspiring, late basketball coach Jim Valvano once said, “If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that’s a full day. That’s a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you’re going to have something special.” Don’t forget to cry; it heals the soul.
